Brock was in Music Man, and I was on the Sets Team.
For the lobby concessions/box office type posters, the concept was American midwest town buildings from the era.
The Music Man musical has a lot of iconic songs (probably a lot of the other musicals do, but I haven’t seen many), so I chose to base the different lobby posters on specific songs. If you’re familiar with the movie or musical, you’ll probably key in to the songs in question for each poster.
I really like the lyrics in the song “Rock Island”. I chose to make the main background a historical map of the Rock Island System (located in the midwest, including Iowa). It’s a little hard to see with the resolution, but I located the different lyrics on different stretches of track.
