Aladdin (Spring 2025)

The Aladdin lobby crew kept things simple and only needed two posters.

I made up for the lack of posters by helping out with lobby decor, making the “cave cat” who hung over the theater entrance (halfway up a ramp suspended by shower compression rods). The eyes glowed different colors, and sadly only one of them was really visible based on the curve of the ramp. It was meant to represent the Cave of Wonders in Aladdin, where the head of a large sand tiger opens from the desert and Aladdin has to walk through to enter the cave. The “red carpet” was more felt than carpet, and we used red duct tape to line it and hold it down. The white teeth were also duct tape. Being wholly suspended by the shower tension (torsion?) rods, I was concerned that the whole thing would fall on someone – but it stayed up there the whole weekend.
